So recently the battery died on my M35x and I had to give it a jump. All is fine now except I noticed the option for XM disappeared from my radio. I can only switch between Am and Fm now. It’s like I never even had Xm. I’ve tried disconnecting the battery, unplugging the actual module in the trunk, nothing. Any suggestions?

Check your fuses. The XM tuner gets power from both the 15A main audio fuse under the hood and the accessory audio fuse in the cabin fusebox. If either one is blown then the AV Unit will function in the Ignition position but the XM tuner will be dead.

Checked the fuses. The one under the hood looks good same with the one inside. I replaced both of them with spares and still nothing

Then it's time to pull out the WD and a test light and see if you have power and ground at the tuner.

The “tuner” has power. It’s actually an aftermarket unit that replaces sat radio with Bluetooth. It still charges my phone via usb and my phone still connects to its Bluetooth signal. I just can’t switch to the “XM” preset that I need to actually use it.

With aftermarket all bets are off, but it sounds like it quit communicating with the AV for some reason. Stuff that quits working after a jump usually means it went over-voltage from sparks, and if the fuse didn't protect it, then something blew. Nissan/Infiniti AV Units are kind of infamous for being intolerant of sparky jumps, so I hope you didn't trash it.

Shoot, that’s probably the case since all of the recommended solutions didn’t fix it. I guess on the bright side I still have FM, AM and CD :/

Is it the USA Spec brand? That what I have. If so I'd recommend following the instructions from the initial setup to basically resync it. If I use the seek button on the radio it'll switch to AUX and its a pain to get it back to Bluetooth. Honestly beats dealing with my fm transmitter though.
