Was driving my Infiniti like usually , when I turned on the cruise control. The whole dashboard went crazy and as a slowed down and try to regain speed , I notice the gears wasn't changing. I read the error codes on the car got a U-1000 code but still having problems with the gears. When the car is cold the Reverse works and it switches gear. But when the car is hot it doesn't. So I took it to a transmission specialist and he said change the radiator on the transmission. So we did and it worked for a bit , but then didn't want to go pass 1st gear. Now the transmission guy claims it's the clutch got damaged. Idk what to do, I feel like it's an electrical issue . But don't know what to do ?? Need help thanks .

2007 Infiniti m35x .. Checked the oil on the transmission looks a lil dark but doesn't smell burnt .

Why did he recommend you change the radiator? Some Nissans, not typically m35s though, had instances of coolant leaking into the transmission fluid compartment of the radiator. Thats the only relation I can see to damage the trans.

And to your suspicion, yes U1000 codes are related to electrical/communication issues. Most common are grounding issues.
Have you done any electrical work to the car recently?
Do you live in an area where corrosion in the engine bay could occur?
