I paid $2227 for the same term Infiniti extended warranty last February with a $50 deductible, on a M35X.

Maybe you can do as well.

A few years ago, I paid approximately $2000 for a 2003 M45 extended warranty from Infiniti.

Getting a warranty from Infiniti as opposed to third-party is a bit different - less hassles with approvals, etc. when the work is done at the dealer. I speak from experience with a third-party place for my last Infiniti Q45.

I would only deal with Nissan for an after warranty service repair contract!

Over the past 5 years way too many of these qausi- insurance companies have FAILED and left owners hanging.................the only way they can stay in business is to pay out less than they take in and most pay >half in commissions to who ever sells the contract.

Nissan won't fail from too many claims and usually will answer your calls after they have paid out more than you paid for the policy.

What you are really trying to guard against is the after bumper to bumper electronics.... 4 year or 60k as the powertrain usually last until beyond 100k/7 years, however the 5AT is pretty new [2002 first offered].

If engine is going to use oil it shows up prior to 70k.

Bargain with multiple Infiniti dealers [150+ in US to chose from anyone can sell you a Nissan policy] after the sale and see who will discount the $1000 in profit they make?

Q45tech & szhosainI agree completely with what you said. I should have been a little more clear. There is a difference in the bumper to bumper and the power train. In CA there is only one power train version. I was only trying to throw in a side piece of info.

You make a good point of being able to buy the "Infiniti warranty". And If I were shopping again, I would certainly make sure that is what I got.

I had gotten my q from an individual and just went to the internet to look.I did not realize at the time that Infiniti offerred an extended.

your guys do a nice job btw, mcrewsq

Thanks! Dennis (Q45tech) is our long-term resident expert on Infiniti and cars in general ... his posts are the most knowledgeable (from his solid engineering background and real-world practical experience) you will see here at NICO. Read them carefully and you will learn one heck of a lot of information!

People here consider his Q45 to be the epitome of performance that you can find in a Q45, although, as Dennis will also admit, the looks apparently (I have not seen it myself) leave a lot to be desired. Because Dennis does not care about the looks - only the performance!

Just trying to get to 400,000 miles only 90,000 miles to go. Asthetics [paint] is very very expensive if you are a perfectionists...........easier to just skip that function, that way you don't get dissappointed and high blood pressure.

I keep hoping we get a blown $500 Gray on Gray with perfect paint but all we seem to get are sand/beige/white ratty interiors.

The color of the leather dye has a significant impact on the look of the interior 10-15 years hence.
