infiniti j30 water pump

i have a problem, i have my j30 at the dealer doing some repairs after the car was fixed they took the car for a test drive. they called me and told me the water pump blow now they want to change the water pump,radiator,fan,and shroud,belts is this right can this happen?

Its possible for the water pump to go, causing the car to overheat. Which would damage then the radiator, fan, belts, etc.

But they should cut you a hell of a deal at least.

make sure the timing belt is part of those belts being replaced. there's no better time to do it.

I would be a little curious about the radiator & shroud. Water pump, fan, & belts I could see but the radiators are pretty strong on the J30's. Did you possibly have some damage that you didn't know about?

very hard to imagine the shoud needs replacement..radiator too...unless the fan ripped off and cut everything up...very weird...
