Hello Everybody,

I'm beginner in automobile parts language English, so please be patient :))
This is 97 j30, I bought it with problems: leaked exhaust, broken detonation sensors and oxygen sensor.
During two month my mechanic fixed exhaust, changed 2 detonation sensors, 2 oxygen sensor, timing belt and changed all dry hoses.
Now the car even passed the inspection.

BUT... now on the first gear, from start the car is very slow and I feel my self like in big loaded truck with j30 engine, but then on 2nd and other gear is runs great. What can be the problems there?

Thank you in advance!

Welcome to Nico !!
Did he replace the Knock sensor ??
If bad it will retard the timing below 3K RPM.
Above that its ignored If I recall.

Yes, I wrote above, I called it detonation sensors. He replaced 2 knock sensors. I bought it on amazon.com, it was for Nissan 300zx, but I assume it has shared engine.

But you know, before it was replaced, the check engine was ON, and the computer told to replace knock sensor, the car was much powerful.

There is only One detonation sensor on the J 30 engine.

I also thought, but the computer was showing two errors, 1/2 Knock Sensor, then 2/2 Knock Sensor. Then I read somewhere, that some versions of j30, maybe 97 year, have 2 knock sensors.

J's don't generally shift well untill they're fully warmed up. Also remember to use octane 91 or better gas. This is not a recommendation. This is a requirement.

The car is still stupid when warmed and with premium gas.

But I will try Premium gas! Thank you!!!

You need to pull the codes again.
That sure sounds like the Knock/detonation sensor.
