From the Nissan news web site:

INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS· Infiniti sales declined by 3.5 percent on a daily sales rate basis for the month, with 12,655 units sold, as compared with last December’s 13,112 units.· The all-new Infiniti EX launched with 305 units sold in its first month.· The G Sedan experienced a record year in 2007, with sales of 54,015 units.· Infiniti Division’s sales in 2007 reached 127,038 units, a 4.5 percent increase over 2006

It also says that Nissan/Infiniti had 1 million + sales for the 4th year. This sounds good until you realize that Toyota and GM each had over 9 million. Buy more Nissans.

That is why I see a 07 G35 every where I look!

I have started waving to other G35 owners and been getting waves back. Just like in my CJ-5

I like tossin the waves as well, ya catch some people off guard sometimes tho haha. Ya never know just how much wavin goes on unless you've got a cycle tho, especially if it's a harley. Bikers are major wavers. Anyone who's got or had a bike knows what I'm talking about.

I just love when they assume the g35 is a slow car. Alot of mad V8 owners out there.

I'm the same way. I have LOTS of free time at work and usually use it reading magizeens that have g35/350zs and compiling lists of what parts im going to add next and calculate how much money i'm going to squander on this car. It's probly sad and most of my friends tell me to "put it back in the pants" when i talk of my car and what i want to add.

I agree with gwoods...In another post I expressed my dissapointment with Infiniti with the heavy g37, but i would hardly say it failed by any measure. It still the nicest coupe in the 35 to 45 thousand sector to me. I just much rather have a faster more practical g35 sedan. ...But failing..... ....thats a bit far feched.

Interesting how from the growing sale we ended up with the growing weight.

About the 1 million sales vs. 9 million sales.

I hope Nissan won't get there.

That's where the car starts to have reliability isse.

Hard to maintain Quality and Quantity at the same time.

I don’t know how many Infiniti dealers there are in the US, but with all of them sharing 127,000 annual sales…there isn’t that much money to be made being an Infiniti dealer. If each dealer sold 1000 cars at a profit of $2000/a car, that’s only 2 million a year.

And leave the G37 alone. It’s fine like it is. If you want a race car, go buy a new Shelby SuperSnake, take it to JBA, and when they’re done, you’ll drive off with 800HP. That outta work. (at the track!)http://www.jbaracing.com/

I think we need to post more Mustang pics.

Yeah, there aren't to many dealerships. There's only 3 in the state of Michigan. When I got mine, I got treated with much disrespect at the first one which is like a half hour away so I drove to the one 2 hours away. Soon after that, the new one opened up right here in town.

A lot of people have yet to hear about Infiniti. When I got mine, I hardly knew of Infiniti and then I saw the G coupe, and I said that's going to be my car. Barely any of my friends knew about Infiniti until I got my car, but I do come from the land of the Big 3.

Well, we here in Florida certainly know about Infiniti...Unfortunetly too many people know because I can't drive to the store without seeing at least ten of them drive by.

Just don't forget the horrible business with Nissan's QR motors, they've had their fair share of very unreliable cars. I would love to see the brand increasing, I think under it's current cheif management it will do well. No overnight boom, but expanding sales are always good.

I subscribe to CR and just visited their web site. What I read is different than what you got. You'll need to be a member to read this but here is their take....Our top-rated upscale sedan, the G35 is a quick, sporty, and pleasant car. The 2007 update has fixed the few flaws of the original. The 3.5-liter V6 is punchy and refined, and the automatic is exceptionally smooth and responsive. Handling is quite agile and much more predictable than in the past. The ride is taut yet comfortable.... I'm editing out the rest to avoid any copyright problems...2006s and 2007s have the highest rating (solid red circle) in EVERY category. 2008s aren't rated yet.

The Infiniti G35 scored a 92, and that is leading score. Every other car scored lower. They did find fault with the G though, they found it had a Snug interior and a small trunk

I don't know where you got your data, but Consumer Reports raves about the G. They rate it higher than any other car. This company is unbiased. I put more confidence in their work than any other publication or web site.

I doubt you will see this data without being a member of CR, but if you are, and you all should be supporting this organization, here is the cite

Dude. Why are you a member if you're going to start talking smack on Nissan/Infiniti?

First of all. My I30 has 276k miles on it and still drives quite well. My in-law's toyota pickup, avalon, and celica are all leaking oil, stuttering and having suspension problems among other things.

I was at Riverside Infiniti the other day and they said there is a 95 J30 that comes in there for servicing with over 480k miles on it. Interior is shot, but it's still on the original engine and transmission. Let's see a damned camry do that!

And to everyone else, I'm glad Infiniti is still small. I see enough G coupes out there as it is. I don't need my car's value to drop like a hot potatoe because they start over producing.

If they could only put the cars on weight watchers and get us a little better fuel economy, then people would stop buying Toys.

The G37 is a gorgeous coupe. It might be a little heavy and quirks will definately need to be worked out, but I doubt it will live the same life the 04 M45 did (btw, I love the styling of that car!)

You are right. I did not say Infiniti is perfect they are actually doing better then 5 years ago when they came out with the G. New generation has a few glitches.

But I said you are right.

I did a little more searching at CR. Here are a few more scores...BMW 328 = 79MB C350 = 88Toyota Camry = 77 / V6 = 87Honda Accord = 79 / V6 = 88Altima 4cyl = 88 / V6 = 89 Acura TL = 90A4 = 77

You can see that they also love the Altima! Go Nissan.
