What a great exhaust note! The tips look a bit like mine and the sound definitely sounds very close to mine. (Tanabe Medalion).
I love a deep note when giving it the beans, yet a quieter sound under power on the motorway.

Hm...interesting you get all that when just replacing the axle-back. I didn't think the factory muffler would baffle so much.

I'd like to get an Invidia Gemini catback for the Q50 (not available for AWD it seems but I don't see a difference in the FSM). Love the sound on my G.

I don't know if I'll do exhaust or brakes next. I have RS-R springs sitting in the garage for installation to get the height set :)

Funny how I'm circling back to these things - I really love the Tanabe exhaust on the Q50.

However, I've found that GTHaus makes a Meisterschaft exhaust for the Q50 and they sell it in pieces. You can get their axle back, but they sell the y-pipe and mid pipes separately so you can piece together a full catback.

In theory, you could take the Meisterschaft y-pipe and mid pipes and mate them to the Infiniti Sport Muffler kit or Tanabe axle-back and have a full catback. I just wonder how it will sound. The full Meisterschaft system is LOUD AS HELL on the 370Z, and that's even with stock cats.

I'm also curious about the fit, look, and sound of the Invidia Gemini system. It's the most cost effective catback out there, with the Stillen catback right behind it. I could just never get into the look of Stillen exhausts. They look like WalMart exhausts when you put them next to something like a Tanabe.
