Tonight I was pondering the apparent lack of bling-bling carrying the Infiniti brand. So I did some research and found some mentions of Infiniti in the movies:

Title: Three KingsYear: 1999Dialogue:Conrad Vig: One gold Rolex would get me a very nice split-level house outside of Garland. Troy Barlow: Five Rolexes would get my family that Lexus convertible. Chief Elgin: I told you, Lexus doesn't make a convertible. Troy Barlow: Yes they do, it has room in the back for a kid's seat. Chief Elgin: Infiniti has a convertible but not Lexus. Troy Barlow: Wrong. Chief Elgin: Either way, the Good Lord has put this map in our path and I believe we're gonna find something. Troy Barlow: Yeah, he could also put a land mine in our path if we go out there. Chief Elgin is played by rapper Ice Cube. Also stars Clooney and Wahlberg.Overview: In the aftermath of the Gulf War, 4 soldiers set out to steal gold that was stolen from Kuwait, but they discover people who need their help.

Title: Gone In Sixty SecondsYear: 2000Mention: The movie is about auto theft, and a body shop gives each car it intends to steal a code name and writes it on a chalk board. Car #26 is a 1999 Infiniti Q45 code-named Rachel.Continuity Flaw: The '99 Infiniti Q45 (Rachel) disappears from the blackboard list. The Jaguar XJ 220 takes its place, the Jaguar XK8 takes the XJ 220's place, and a Lamborghini Diablo that wasn't on the list takes the XK8's place, above the Lamborghini LM SUV. Later, the list is restored. A Hummer also appears and disappears on the list.Cast: Angelina Jolie, Nicolas Cage

Title: Lords of DogtownYear: 2003Overview: "Lords of Dogtown" will begin shootinglater this year. The fictionalized version of the documentary and is based on a Spin magazine article that explored the skateboarding culture in the 1970s. A 2003 FX45 will be in the film.

Title: EulogyYear: 20031-21-03Winona Ryder, Ray Romano, Debra Winger, Hank Azaria, Monica Potter and Rip Torn will star in "Eulogy." a comedy that also features (news). Dysfunctional family comedy centers on the funeral of the family patriarch. Filming begins Feb. 21. Another 2003 FX45 will be in the film.

Im curious if anyone else has seen Infinitis shown, used, or mentioned in movies or TV.

Pacino drives a J30 in HEAT.

I think there's another thread similar to this buried WAY in the past.

Don't forget the 1993 movie Heart and Souls with Robert Downey Jr., Kyra Sedgewick and Charles Grodin.

In this movie Downey drives a Black J30t with Gray leather. Sweet car. Unfortunately he wrecks the hell out of it ripping off the bumpers and virtually destroying the car by the end of the movie. So that sucks.

Heat is one of the best cast/best directed/best made crime movies of our time. For the $11 or so asking price on dvd, you should buy it immediately!!

The car driving scene was short but good.

How about the 1997 Comedy, "Good Burger" - it's a comedy, although not my favorite. The owner's(?) J30 is crushed by the burger sign in the parking lot. I think it's real - the insides of the door panels look very familiar.

Also, there's half second shot of a 1st gen. Q in the intro to NYPD Blue (near the Miss Saigon sign on Broadway). It's a little distorted due to the special effects, but clearly a champagne color 90-93 Q.

Can't remember the name of the flick, but Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Huston are a divorced couple whose son was killed by a drunk driver that gets out of prison. Huston drives a pearl white first gen Q.

I just saw that show 2 days ago for the first time and saw it! It looked great. It was in silver and looked like a bullet.

There is a black Infiniti J30 driven by Mekhi Phifer in a number of scenes in 2001's "O", a retelling of Shakespeare's Othello. The movie also stars Julia Stiles and Josh Hartnett.

Ok this is a little embarresing but...here we go

one Lifetime original movie(made for tv, horribly acted) i forget the name, but the storyline was some kids breaking out of a mental institution. Anyway, they stole a doctor's keys and took his 2nd generation Q out for a joyride. The movie stars the girl from Life Goes On and the younger boyfriend on Roseane.......i do not reccomend this movie.

....................but the Q was pretty nice

Sorry to dig up the old thread, but the movie in question is called "the Crossing Guard"

also, in the movie "The Firm" with Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman's character is walking away from what looks like a white-looking Q (it's in the background, and a bit indistinct) toward the fence of the school where tom cruise's character's wife works. whew, mouthful.

I saw a movie on HBO called City of Industry. http://www.netflix.com/MovieDi...04066 Harvey Keitel and Timothy Hutton were in this movie. I believe Hutton was driving a 95 Q like mine but I don't think it was the same color as my purple one. The Q was in quite a bit of the movie including a robbery of a jewlery store. It was an average movie, but if you see it playing on HBO, you will see the car early in the movie. Happy movie watching.

Glad to see this thread back - but I'm curious... what search led you to this thread?! I can't even get the search feature to work lately.

I spotted the car in "The Firm" and remembered this thread from a while back. The more I think about it, I can't really be sure it was a Q in that movie, but the pie pan wheels are darn near impossible to miss. Had to be a Q, maybe!

Phil:)

P.S. I searched for "Infiniti in the movies" and this was one of four threads it gave me.

On "Wildest Police Videos" (on Fox or Spike TV) there are scenes in between where the announcer is standing or walking past a simulated arrest scene. In one of them, a perp is being cuffed and taken away from a red Q45 with silver piepan wheels.

On the new American Express commercial with Tim Duncan it shows him at an Infiniti dealership (there's 2 G35's in the background) and then driving a QX56.
