Yes, nice find! I bet that "jim" guy that posted has never even drove a G50 Q. In my eyes lexus couldn't compete till the Y33

I think the replies are about right.. Unfortunately, the 1997 LS400 blew the 1997 Q45 out of the ballpark in terms of performance and basically every category. I actually can't think of any category that the 1997-01 Q45 beat a 1997-01 LS400..

He is right though.. 90-96 Q45 is gonna come close in terms of performance to a similar year BMW, MB, Caddy, etc and cost way less to keep going.

I'd still like to get a Y33 and put a real man's engine in there (VH45), and a 5 speed manual. Should outperform a G50 since its a bit lighter..

If the 03/04 M45 had a little better interior (instead of basically a G35 interior), it would be a pretty good successor to the G50..

I can, durability! When the LCD displays went out, they cost over a $1K each ten years ago. The FGY33 is like the tortoise, it just keeps going and going.

I have to say though that on the road, the G50 could out run any other sedan that didn't have M or AMG on the trunk.
