Just recently my left headlight low beams went out. I looked under the hood and I saw it had Xenon D2R lights. I was wondering when i go buy replacements, is any 35w D2R hid bulb going to work, or is there a certain kind I have to buy? And also, on ebay people are selling them for around $20 but most internet sites sell them for $150, is there any reason they are so cheap?

Off hand I'm not 100% sure. Why don't you post a link about the ebay auction you're talking about.

Oh, and what year is your I30T?

I'd say you're good. Although with most things, you get what you pay for.

For $40 and a 1 year warranty, it's a cheap way to be proven wrong.

No need to remove the bumper to replace the bulb. Here's the procedure from the 01 I30 FSM.

Dust, moisture, smoke, etc. entering headlampbody may affect the performance of the headlamp.Remove headlamp bulb from the headlamp reflector justbefore a replacement bulb is installed.1. Disconnect negative battery cable.2. Disconnect headlamp connector.3. So i just bought a pair of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...AX:IT

They are the Phillips brand that Infiniti uses and only 30 each! The guy was really cool to. I actually went there to just pick them and they work great. This would have cost me, believe it or not, over 1000 dollars from the dealership. I cant remember but i think they wanted 300-375 dollars per bulb, then two hours to install (Took us 30 minutes with very basic tools) 150 dollars an hour for two hours is 300 so ya after taxes 1000+ vs. 80 dollars. (I actually paid my buddy 20 to put em in lol)
