infiniti i30 electrical problems

i try to start my car then seen smoke for under hood the wires thats sits over the alternator and goes to ront of car guess connects to lights etc are smoking burnt out lot of expose wiring is that a single harness you can get what do i hav to do to fix problem

It will help us greatly if you post pictures of the burned/exposed wires.

There is a small "alternator wiring harness" that connects to the alternator that is replaceable. I keep a spare on hand in the event I might need one in the future.
