i took my 01 i30 car in for service for the code P0446 and they replaced the Evap canister, after a few hours of driving it the service engine soon light came on codes P1444 and P0450, i took it back to the shop he said P0450 code he cleared and fixed??? he was checking the valves and solenoid. P1444 code he said i need to replace the solenoid but he isn't sure??? if that doesn't work he said i need to replace another part. any idea's on what should I do to clear the code so I be able to pass my smog test THANKS...*note* prior to the all these codes I got into a rear accident on the middle and ride side of the bumper, I got rear ended at 40 miles per hour.

Repairing the evap [gas vapor] system is common after warranty.Low US gasoline quality and road dirt/dust plugs up vent system.

Just turning light off will fail because the ecu/car must be driven ~~ 50 miles with multiple starts and accelerations to 55 mph to reset and prove the emission are actually ok.

Repair the defects is the only method.

One normally looks up the code number in your personal copy of Factory Service Manual and follows the detailed step by step proceedures to narrow down the defective part. Replace the part and reset ECU.........just like technicans do.

Failure to download the mega FSM [link below] leaves you at the mercy of the kindness of internet strangers

An important hint is octane number nor brand has nothing to do with the quality of gasoline, for that you must KNOW the refinery and the day and hour it was produced.

thanks for the link, at least I got an idea on what's going on because at first i was lost a bit on what they did cuz i was there watching on what they're doing, when i looked at the procedures of the diagnostic on the code P1444, the shop where i took it in was doing those procedures on the code but the code still showed up, so i hope replacing the solenoid will take the service engine soon out and the code.
