One day after I changed engine oil and air filter at a local store, my car cannot start without push the accelerator pedal, and it will stop after release the accelerator pedal. I do not know what cause this. What should I do? Is this just coincident with oil change? Thanks for your wisdom and suggestions.

I pulled the car to the Infiniti dealer last Monday, and they still cannot figure out what wrong it is exactly after one week. The guy think it is a communication problem of the computer system and he want to replace the computer system. $$$ . Any suggestions?

Helpppppp!!!!!!!!!

They had changed air intake sensor so far.

Did you check to see if you possibly left a hose loose or disconnected when you changed the air filter? That's what it sounds like...

Thanks, Ginknave. What kind of "hose"? The air filter is in the slot and it seems be tighten by the pin attached to the slot.

Yeah, the filter is a breeze to replace. Just two latches, and pull the filter bracket up. Replace the filter, and latch it back.

It sounds like a coincidence, unless somebody dropped a rag in the hole.

Are all the hoses in good shape and connected correctly?

Are all the electrical connections plugged in correctly and undamaged?

Are you getting any codes from the ecu?

As you release the acelerator what rpm does it run at before it dies?

Does the tachometer needle bounce?

No sure.

Some time the car will run well, rpm ~1k. But sometime after start it will die immediately, rmp ->0 right away, and the tachmeter needle did not bounce at all.

Does the tachometer needle bounce?
