Infiniti I30 1998 pulling code PO745 Help needed!

Hello,
I have a 1998 I30 pulling a PO745 code. When accelerating the car jerks into 2nd gear. Does anyone have any idea on how to approach this issue?
Looking for the easy trouble shooting methods. Besides the jerking car is driving smooth.
I have seen on the web that it might be a issue with the resistor that communicates to the transmission solenoid??? I need pictures cause I am a jeep owner and just trying to fix a family members car. Please help!!

Anyone know anything about where I can even get a drop resistor or where it is located?

Drop resistor is located on the driver side strut tower in the engine bay (mounted with two bolts). It is a small rectagular grey piece that has two wires going to it. It may be something that only the dealer carries. It shouldn't cost that much.
