I recently purchased a 2000 Infiniti I-30. The car is in great condition. Low mileage too. I love the options and style as well. The only problem is, I'm wondering about the paint. There were a few scratches that I was mostly able to polish out. However, the paint appears to chip and scratch very easily. It this common, any other I-30 owners out there?!! I also noticed that there are a few places on the car where it appears that the top coat has bubbled up a bit. It's hardly noticeable unless you get really close to the car and look. Hey, I know it's a used car. But, I'm wondering if paint and clearcoat might be a problem with this vehicle. The Infiniti is supposed to be a little higher class car, isn't it?! Any warantee on the paint I wonder? Thanks so much for any responses.

I'm not sure about your generation, but my paint is awesome. When i got rear ended at about 45 mph, all the paint stayed on back there.

And how was the repaint after the accidents? Top of the line body/paint shops have electronic paint thickness measurement devices..........does yours show varying thicknesses from a partial repaint? How many real previous owners in the 4.5-5 year old [2000]?
