The subtitles gave him flack for opening the windows, but if he was in it whenit went in, that's the only way out. You can't open the doors against the water pressure.
Though the usual cause of these is inadequate hand brake. Hand brakes don'twork very well against a rearward pull. Best guess is he set the hand brakeand got out. My PF goes on a boat ramp four times most weekends. When Iset the hand brake to get out and unhook the boat, I REALLY set it, then takemy foot off the pedals and bounce a bit in the seat, THEN get out. And I havestick shift, and once it's backing down the ramp, it's in first gear, compound low 4xF, clutch in. If the hand brake doesn't cut it, engine braking will makethings happen slowliy. And one less thing to do (shift to forward) if stuff happens. Also prevents operator error by backing up even more when it's time to pull out.
Two more reasons to like sticks. HEY NISSAN, YOU LISTENING? You got a greatsix-speed with the same engine in the pickup, let's get it in the PF.
Other reasons to like sticks:
They don't get hot when you tow a trailer.Cheaper.More fun.More reliable.Less maintenance.Don't have to check the oil level.
