I like the lines of the G35 better. The front qtr panel is where they went the most wrong on the G37. Don't like the chrome rear spoiler either but that should be easy to replace. From the front, the G37 reminds me a little of the previous genereation M45.The g37 just looks a little bloated in areas where the g35 looks tight, clean, and exotic (like the 300Z when it came out in the 90's. I do prefer the rims on the G37, and we know the interior is MUCH better and better motor. Can't go wrong basically.Of course, I prefer black, and really don't like silver, so that might be clouding my judgement a little.

I've seen the G37 in person - parked my 2003 next to one. The new car is only incrementally different in appearance. In other words all of the basic styling signatures are similiar, the side window and door profiles general shape of hood, fenders and rear ends. The lower front end, wheels nad rear spoiler are probably the biggest departures. The stuff you can't see - like the more powerful engine and refined interiour as others have said is better. For the current and future G35 owners the question is do you want to pay to have the newest latest. I caught a deal on my loaded 2003 with 8k miles for $24k. Based on what I have read it seems you can add 30hp to the first gens with exhaust, intake and spacer for $2k or less. Either way I feel good knowing I got an almost new car for almost half the price of the 2008 model. My car is a 2003 and I'll park next to the new one any day. I haven't done much to my car except add the rims, tint, splash guards and IPOD Harness. Color is Desert Platinum which in photos can be confused with liquid platinum or silver. The Desert Platinum is a champainge(sand) color with a sliver/grey irredescent effect at times.

If you can afford the new car then go for it. I would try not to pay retail if possible but I know that can be hard to do on a new model. If not a new 2007 or lightly used G35 can save you big time. I've said the same thing over on the Altima Coupe forum and have made many enemies. Using my car as an example you could pay more for a 2008 4 cylinder Altima Coupe.
