Sorry guys... Im new to this forum thing... Im wondering what people think about the Turbonetics kit for the G35 coupe?... There is a few different kits for the car but my favorite seems to be the Turbonetics... Im in a toss up of confusion on which kit to get and still maintain reliability but be faster... If anyone can let me know if they think Turbonetics seems like a good kit that would be greatly appreciated... Thanks...

you first must consider in advance that the JWT is considered the SAFEST FI kit for VQ, also consider that Single turbo will have a considerably larger amount of lag then with small twins ,

Most people who have FI have the Greddy or JWT , only one or two ive seen had the APS

Hopefully all this helps you out in your search for the "best" turbo

Im just curious why no A/F numbers, And WHP graphs arent used more commonaly.

From my experiance, Knock, A/F Ratio, and oil pressure are usually the culprits of a blown engine. NOT too much Boost. Naturally, if you turbo an NA car with a higher compression. Your going to have to run less boost to achieve the numbers that you would a Lower Compression motor.....

From every forum that i have read no one really concerns engine monitering with wear when it comes to the VQ35

Does anyone consider porting and clipping the mitsu turbos, If dont want anymore lag by upgrading to the 20gs on the Greddy Kit this is an option if you want to keep it around 450-550 WHP with the same turbos supplied with the kit. You'll sacrifice alittle on the spool up but get A noticeable differnce on the top end. Just an idea...

But heres your map, of a big 16g that uses the same flange thats actually a cheap turbo to upgrade too.... This turbo is basically a 15g with a ported clipped, and bigger wheel installed. This put down 300whp on a Basic bolt on 2g Eclipse GST with the proper management, injectors, and NO CAMS.

Well I havent seen anybody talk about the Turbonetics kit for the G..... This kit seems really good and comes with everything.... This is the kit that I was debating on getting... If there is any input from people that have a turbo G about the Turbonetics kit or might have more street info about the kit... that would be greatly appreciated... To me.. It looks like a good simple kit that includes everything... would up the horsepower a little and keep good reliability on the car... Im not looking to make it a race/drag car.... just a little faster on the street and reliability.... Thanks for your input everyone...

Hey some of you guys may have already read i few of my posts on here but i was just visiting this one and thought id add some pics and info. A few months ago i installed the Turbonetics kit in my 06 G35 Coupe 6MT. All i can say is that it is much harder than it looks to install. Saying that they dont actually make the kit for an 06 so it took some massaging to get it in. Had a little problem with the up pipe that comes across the front of the motor between the rad and the pulley's. I ended up cutting the pipe and just adding a flex hose wich was the answer. Also with the 06 there is no option to flash the ECU so i went with the Utec. All said and done it fired up perfectly. I used the base map right from the Utec website. I also installed the 7 psi spring in the wastegate just to be on the safe side as i am running stock internals. I also sugest anyone installing this kit to buy yourself some proper heat reflective tape I even purchased a 2x2' piece of reflective kevlar to put around some AC components. I didnt have time to have it tuned properly but i did take it up to a friends shop and put it on the dyno just so i could see my A/F ratio. I will post the Dyno printout. We blew off the inlet hose so we only took it up to 4200 rpm. But numbers were impressive with no tune. I then purchased an Innovate AF gauge and installed it as well. I then got the call to go back to work so never managed to get it to the performance shop for a proper tune. Which proved to be my biggest mistake. I will only say this once. GET YER CAR TUNED BY A PROFFESIONAL!. I drove it for about a week just nice and easy not pushing real hard on it. I noticed it started to make a strange noise at around 5000 rpm so i never went there. It turns out it was a problem with the ignition timing. I was doing about 130 mph down the highway and just squeezing into it when it preignited and threw a rod through the block. Ok so lesson learned the hard way. It now gives me the opportunity to build the crap out of a new engine WOOHOO! anyways here are the pics.

Heres a HKS/Xspeed V35 currently for sale here in AU. Asking price is $AU68k! 308rwhp 6psi of boost on Dyno Dynamics dynometer, stock vehicle on same dyno makes 210rwhp (we have different HP ratings here so dunno what that would equate to in US).

Some blurb;
