I have an 06 G35 and I'm unable to open the hood. It appears that the hinges are froze up. Have tried some lubricaating oil but no luck.
Suggestions?? able to fix or replace.

thanks

My pass. side started freezing up on me (04 coupe) a couple of months ago.
I bought one at my local Infiniti for around $32.
Next, primed and painted it (rattle cans from Autozone....dark blue was pretty close to my TB).
Installation.
Open hood.
Remove bolts holding top of fender on.
Remove bolt from fender inside door jam.
Have somebody hold hood from front.
Remove bolts from hood (after scribing where hindge is on hood).
Pull back on fender and remove bolts holding hinge on
Replace hinge bolting it to car then bolt to hood.
TA-DAAA!!!
repeat on other side.

Welcome to Nico!!

Welcome!
And, I did soak the old hinge in white grease after I took it off just to see if it would loosen up, but didn't seem to do any good.
So don't know if anybody else has had any luck with fixing the old hinge.

Weird...I would not expect a hinge issue

WHen I was shopping for a used G35 Coupe about 3 yrs ago I happened upon one at a lot that when I opened the hood, the hood got in a bind with the fender near the hinge. The hood popped by it and I noticed a scratch on the fender where it did this.
I immediately thought that it had probably been in a wreck and somebody didn't align the hood properly.......until this started happening with mine.
I replaced my pass. side and bought a can of white grease to shoot on the other side.
