Infiniti G20

Sup everyone, I am new to this website and I have a question. I recently purchased a 1992 infiniti G20 and was really considering an sr20det swap, now my queston is should I have a custom made exhaust since the SR is out of a different platformed car. If any one can answer to this or has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Not a different platform - If I recall correctly, the JDM version has a 2.0 turbo...

You can have a custom exhaust made after the down pipe. No smaller than 2.5", 3" recommended. Same for the rear secton. The design of the Down Pipe really depends on what kind of turbo you decide to run.

I think he was referring to how the swapped motor would be out of a different platform. I suppose there is a turbo Primera motor, but I hardly ever see them, and I bet he's using a Bluebird or other B chassis motor anyway.

To answer the question related to all of that: Regardless of platform, pre-made downpipes are basically non existent for turbo FWD SRs imported to the USDM market. The specs of a dp for a G20 shouldn't be much different than those of a Sentra/200SX/NX anyway, so if you happened upon a pre-fabbed B chassis dp, it'd probably take little modification to match it up with your G20.

For simplicity's sake, take it to an exhaust shop and have them order whatever bends they need.

the only primera turbos/g20 turbos are swapped or added on.you would have to run custom exhaust with the new engine.
