Just wondering if you can offer any insight into G20 ownership. I understand it was built on the primera platform and was hoping to find import resources for parts (aftermarket and OE). I live in Canada and these cars are hard to come by. What parts can I salvage from domestic Nissans? Is the car identical to the int'l primera? Any tuners partial to this model? Any help would be much appreciated.

not much you can do junkyard wise with the G20 , they are very scarce and outside the engine stuff it shares almost nothing with anything else stateside for engine stuff look at :

91-94 sentra SER91-93 NX 200096-00 200SX SER 99 Sentra ClassicAny new gen sentra SE 2.0 (roller rocker engine some parts not interchangeable)

lemme know what exactly your looking for i have lots of leftovers from my g20 that was destroyed and i beilve its currently sitting in a junkyard near fairbanks alaska

good to see another G20 owner ont he board

There are cosmetic differences between the Primera & the G20. As was said, try searching around G20.net...

I just saw your other thread too.I delted it since I addressing this here.

We have a LOT of SR expertise here in our SR sections.

And so far we havent made a G20 forum seperate from Infinti General and no reason too.for oen we have the SR engine forums and we also dont seperate any cars out from Infinti General to keep a good synergy between drivers of diffrent cars up.

The only Infiniti that got a seperate forum were the G35 drivers as they lobbied for it hard and those cars selling in such large numbers.

As a group we are kinda proud that we bring to getehr drivers of different Nissan/infinti's.Just like our meets we always have a nice selection of diffrent Infinti's from the V8's on down as well as assort Nissans from MAxima to 240Sx and Sentra's.

I think a meet were everyone has the exact same car wouldn't be as much fun.

Same with forums...

No offence or anything towards that nature, but there has always been a lack of G20/Primera specific support here, notice I didnt say lack of SR20 support.

Dont get me wrong, we are all part of the big Nissan family and I do respect that. But for G20 specific problems http://www.G20.net is the place to go. Those with Maximas/Q45s/I30s/240s/etc...etc...cannot help out with the little things...

This question for instance, Mike (stoneage) one of the handful of G20 owners on this forum (well used to be) that has first hand experience with the G. So directing him to a forum dedicated to G20 owners seemed to be the best information that 91G20 could have recieved, and so I gave it to him.

I do apologize if it seemed like we are *stealing* members, that is not the case. Just giving the person the best place to get the information that they are requesting.

Im not doubting the SR knowledge here, im sure its great...as with http://www.sr20deforum.com It still doesnt address those other things that are specific to G20's, or let me rephrase, who to ask about G20's than G20 owners?

Speaking of sr20deforum...the request was simple, a link to G20.net for those that wanted to know more or have specific questions about the G. That was all, much like the sr20forums did. But after getting ZERO replies to that request for just over a month illustrates to me that there is hardly any interest/owners of G20's here on the NICO forum.

And I higly respect that. I do post inviting the NICO members to the AZ G20 meets when they occur. I dont spend a lot of time on here but do use it as a valuable resource as with a number of other forums.

Youve obviously never been to a G20 meet.... :ylsuper

Fred: I dont mean to intrude and Ill probably be banned for my comments here, but we are all trying to do whats best to support the platforms that we are most knowledgeable with. I dont mean to offend, and dont want to start a flame war, but deleting a post instead of reponding to it, just wasnt right, and yes I was pretty bummed out about it.

Much Respect,Pat

Pat... definately not flame bait. We all have to go where the info is! For my truck info, I go to http://www.that dead forum - just nothing here on NICO.

I also am a member of a few different forums, but if Im looking for help for my G20, I go to where the G20s are...which happens to be G20.net. I think we all want the same thing, which is to help one another out with problems. So whats wrong with sending people in the right direction?

Just tossing my 2 cents in as well.

Fred, can you change the topic here to Infiniti G20 (91~96, 99~02)/Nissan Primera?

I refer to the NICO board a lot. It was here that I learned a lot of the problems you can get into buying front cuts; and I keep trying to make it to a Bowling Green meet, but since I'm married, my time is not my own *sighs*.

I appreciate this Forum, lots of SR20 info here.

I do refer NICO forums a lot, don´t see the problem on refering to G20 forums.

Peace to all

Thanks for the response. I will check out g20.net but I will continue to post here as well. I looking for performance upgrades that will not affect everyday driving/mileage. My goal is to replace everything that breaks with better than original parts, slowly upgrading the whole car. My ultimate goals are less body roll and slighlty firmer susp., a little more (usable, ie not at 6k/rpm plus) power, better brakes and that's about it. I know, I know, that is what everyone wants. My main purpose in posting was to find resources for parts, performance or OE and to find out how much I can salvage from those Primeras. All your attention is greatly appreciated, keep up the good work!P.S. 16.6 @ 87mph approx. temp 16c. First launch ever. Watch for progress...
