If you turn the heat on when its overheating, does it blow hot air?

You might just have to bleed it more.

It blows cold air, and everytime I come back from a ride there is coolant all over the place

Yup, sounds like there are still air bubbles in there. Try bleeding it a few more times.

It can be that your radiator has debris on it. I had that issue and now it's back to normal

Im having the EXACT same issue right now as we speak. I also changed out the thermostat and rad cap w/ coolant and washed down the radiator. What i need help is, where is the Air bleeding valve located at????? i cant find it at all...

Also my issue is that the hose from the radiator to the motor is hot (as it should be) BUT the hose from the radiator to the "new" thermostat is not as hot as it should be and im not sure why.. A buddy of mine told me to just take the thermostat out completely but i don't know about that. There's no leaks from the radiator/hoses/claps or belts so im not sure what else to do.

If someone could give me some type of advice or shine some light to this i would really appreciate it.
