Infiniti EX35: red light flashing below drivers side mirror

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Lately, I noticed that after I turn off my EX35, there is a red light flashing underneath the driver's side mirror. Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

I checked the owners manual and the closest I can see is the welcome light but this is not a welcome light which is a white light. This light is red and it is flashing/blinking.
