Today, the Infiniti Emerg-e was unveiled at the 62nd annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, one of the world's premier celebrations of the automobile. While the Emerg-e concept has been to countless auto shows this year, this is the first time anyone will have seen it in a "natural" setting.

Nissan and Infiniti’s Chief Creative Officer, Designer Shiro Nakamura, said the inspired designs of the past play into current and future models. That’s why Infiniti is a sponsor of the Concours event. "I think we are much more inspired by the spirit of their creations," said Nakamura. Because the Concours d'Elegance is all about classic luxury, several luxury car companies see the event as an opportunity to showcase their new cars and concepts.

Emerg-e is a stunner. Can't wait to see those lines on the next G.

That Infiniti LE sedan, however, looks like an uglier Sonata.

Ballsy styling and it paid off. I would need to look closer at the hybrid system as I find that to be the Windows ME of car propulsion, but the shape is breathtaking.
