I didn't see that coming. Seems the price of the G37 should drop if it's to compete against the Q50. I ran across a supply of Q50's the other week and took some pictures; I was surprised that the Q50 hybrid Sport had a 55k sticker!!! Pictures:

very very interesting... i saw this yesterday when i was on the infiniti site. The base specs of the cars are the same, just one has more technology in the interior. I suspect they know the G37 will continue to sell as its a great bang for you buck car. that price point will drive up sales of the G37 especially against any car in its class. $32k for a G37, thats crazy! It was already a steal at $36K vs all its competitors.

I hope this means a new engine is coming down the pipe in 2015 for the Q60 coupe.

oh i find it funny they are calling the Q50 the "High-Performance Luxury Sport Sedan"

and the G37 the "Dynamic Luxury Performance Sedan"

LOL when they have the same engine and transmission, except you cant get a 6speed with the Q50.

They are selling the G37 and luring buyers in with a major price cut, What they don't tell you is that they cut the residual on the car which means same basic price if you lease. Very limited color choices and a couple of options disappeared, At least you don't have to get those damn run flat tires like the Q

I hope they have a large price cut because the Q50 has a base that is cheaper than the G37. I have not been to a dealer to see if they have been cutting prices since the Q50 was released on the 5th.
