Infiniti Connection,, how does it work?

Hi, I have the Q70L on the center screen, it shown the infiniti connection.

I was trying to press the button to connect, but it always fail.

anyone please tell how this work?
Do I need to pay for the service?

I thought it uses old att edge spectrum. And that was phased out on 2016. So it might not work any longer

my recollection ,and its spelled out at Infiniti web site, was it was free for first 90 days then it had a yearly fee .
i don't need dinner reservations made or directions forwarded from my computer or cell phone.

If it uses GPRS or EDGE (on AT&T), that service will be gone at the end of this year - target date by AT&T is Jan 1, 2017.

From a cellular perspective, not really.

It is just that 2G GPRS is an old cellular technology, and AT&T needs that spectrum for newer ones with better throughput and spectrum efficiency.
