Our 08 G35X has 61K miles and the in service date is 02/2008
So, the battery has at least 4.5 years on it.
What is the normal Infiniti/Nissan battery life??
Thinking about replacing it before winter.

Thanks!

I believe my battery was the OEM one in mine when purchased, if so it made it from '03 to '11.

About 2 weeks before it died I could tell it was losing life, so at least there was a warning.

I was thinking 5 years max, and if you got that then you were doing good!

My son's Focus also gave notice recently before it died and had to be jumped.
So, I bought a brand new battery for it....and traded it..... :frown:
If it had fit the G I would have swapped it.

Think I will start looking for a sale. I have had good luck with Duralast Gold and they are rated high with CR....now, they just need to put them on sale.

Thanks!

Usually 5 years

Check the individual cells with a battery hydrometer, Make sure the liquid level is correct. You don't have to replace the battery until one or more cells refuses to accept a full charge
I purchased my G on 12/31/05 and replaced the battery on Nov 3rd 2010 because one of the cells was only half charged.

Both were appx 3 years old when the batteries croaked on me. Hell, the coupe may have only lasted 2.5 years.

I have owned four Infinitis with ownership ranging from 14 months to 53 months including the current 24 months. Never replaced a battery in any of them. I guess I'm kind of in between in climate extremes (except for the heat this summer) here in southern Indiana. :yesnod

I always replaced mine at ~3 yrs. Batteries are much cheaper than alternators.

My G37, which was delivered in November, 2007, still has its original battery. However, the battery is noticeably weaker than it was three years ago. Back then, the car could sit for a month during the winter and start without recharging. Now, it cranks very slowly if I don't drive it every two or three days.

I bought my car in Dec 2009, and the OEM battery died last month. So for me, the answer was 2.5 years.

you will notice weak startups before its about to go... thats one of the great things about the push button start. your car should start in about the same amount of cranks every time. If it starts consistantly deviating, change the battery ASAP.

On a side note, the only thing that has ever failed on the past two infiniti Gs ive owned was a battery...

The first one came with mt brand new 07 G35 died at its third month. Dealer replaced it with an OEM for free. It lasted 66 months, considering the hot weather here in FL it's not bad.
