Infiniti Announced New Incentives

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello, everyone. This is mostly for those who don't have their EX35 yet. I received an email today from my salesperson about additional incentives from Infinity. It says that they're on top of what's already being offered.

Can anyone verify this? I ordered an EX35, but other than my deposit, I have not paid for it yet. No paperwork has been done either. I'm wondering if this is on top of the dealer cash or in lieu of it. I have not been able to reach him tonight.

It states: $5,000 rebate or $1,000 rebate with 0.9% financing for up to 72 months.

That's odd b/c the 0% 72-month deal goes through Sept-2nd. I wonder if this new one will extend through September.

If you haven't signed anything, any incentive that exists when you go to signn your final papers should apply.

When I inquired about the extra $1,000 (I hadn't read the message correctly at that time), the salesman asked me what my current vehicle was. After I told him (Lexus), he said I would qualify for the extra discount, dropping my price to $39,500 for a 100% fully loaded AWD Journey (except aero body kit).

Here is an excerpt of that email message that he sent out:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better! Infiniti has made some new enhancements to their already strong incentives. Now every customer qualifies for owner loyalty! You don't just have to own an Infiniti anymore!

I have attached a summary of these 2008 new incentives and am very excited to be bringing these to you.

G35 sedans - either $3000 rebate or $1000 AND 0.9%... must purchase within the next 10 days!

G37 coupes - $1000 AND 0.9%...must purchase within the next 10 days!

M35 - $6,000 rebates or $3,000 AND 0.9% for 60 months / 1.9% for 72 months...must purchase within the next 10 days!

EX35 - $5000 rebates or $1000 AND 0% for up to 72 months...must purchase within the next 10 days!

FX35 - $6000 rebates or $1000 AND 0% for up to 72 months...must purchase within the next 10 days!

QX56 - $7000 rebates or $2000 AND 0% for up 72 months...must purchase within the next 10 days!

Get the theme here?Must purchase within the next 10 days! These offers are good through August 31st, when we lock the doors!

I'm still not sure how this is supposed to be applied. Is it just $1,000 on top of the $4,000 dealer cash that they have been knocking off up until now, or is it a $5,000 rebate on top of the current discount (and my salesperson possibly holding out on me).

If anyone knows for sure, please post! I'd hate to lose out on a better deal right before signing for mine.

CaribMon, you have your car on order, right? I didn't think they could apply the rebates to cars on order, that you had to take delivery to get the discounts.

I don't know. That's just the way we worked out the numbers. I'll be flying in this week. I think they're going to pick me up at the airport. We'll do the paperwork and that's about it. If the car isn't in yet, they will give me a loaner until my car arrives.

Shoot, I think for $1000+ it would be worth haggling a little more. They gave me the extra $1k after I made my deal..

Didn't need to haggle. The sales manager already told me he'd knock off the other $1,000. So now it's at $39,500 out the door. I just wanted to ensure that it wasn't supposed to be a $5,000 rebate on top of the other discounts (wishful thinking).

Sounds like he's being fair.
