After Toyota washed their hands of F1, I figured Japan had receded into the abyss, but there is something brewing right now that has WIN all over it.

Nissan/Infiniti looks to be entering the pinnacle of motorsports after decades of horsing around in the doldrums of racing. Backing an outfit that has engineering genius Adrian Newey is almost a sure fire thing, so should this deal go through, expect nothing but success on the horizon.

Interesting. Still won't make me like Vettel though.

I sorta understand it. Renault already supplies Red Bull their F1 engines, and Ghosn wants to grow the Infiniti nameplate in Europe. IMHO there could be more cost effective ways to accomplish that than the mega money involved in F1.

I was already elated about Nissan returning to Le Mans. This will be sweet.

Adrian Newey won his third straight drivers title, Vettel just lapped it around the track. Had Abu Dhabi NOT been a demolition derby, the drivers championship would have actually went to the best driver on the grid, Alonso.

No way!

In 2011 I wouldn't disagree with you but this year he has some serious performances; the guy can race. At the end of the year even Massa was able to challenge in the Ferrari, but yes I would agree that Fernando was the best driver in 2012.
