So I'm more of a 360 guy but I really dug Infamous on the PS3. Yeah it had it's issues like camera control and glitchy platforming but regardless was a really fun game to play. It came out around the same time as Prototype which was pretty much the same game but s*** and got 100x the hype. After watching the gameplay in the vid below I'm pretty stoked for the sequel.

I loved the first one, and the second looks even more amazing. I'm excited for the new powers; the tornado thing is badass!

I forgot about that! I thought some of the best parts about the first one were the ammo and health systems. It kept the game fun opposed to frustrating. This one looks like every fight will be badass.

I can't wait for this game! I too spend probably 90% of my gaming time on 360 but when I played the first inFamous I absolutely loved it. It was easily one of my favorite games of the year and I will be picking up the second installment on day one.

Just so you know this vid is extra old. On that note, when the hell is it being released!!!

I dont know how I feel about the weapons. I also liked the more ex-con look and attitude with Cole. I hope the costume and skin changes from evil-good like in the 1st. Evil had way better attacks and the health boost in the end with the sphere was a good plus. The only frustrating parts were the last boss (yourself), and those DAM SHARDS!! I am still missing only 1 for the platinum trophy!

As far as making it better, I have no real recommendations besides less shards. It really was a 10/10 game. I didnt get any glitchyness though, guess thats good. I just hope the 2nd is equally as good.

I LOVED the last fight. Black & white + your electrical color. Damn, talk about amazing atmosphere and artwork combined. That's another thing about inFamous. The story telling via comic style scenes was different, but it a very welcoming way. I still screw around on infamous to this day when I'm not on GT5. Fun stuff!

I wanted to like the first game, but it had too many problems to be tolerable. Climbing was disappointingly clunky, the targeting system was next to useless, and control responsiveness was not that hot. If the 2nd game can fix those problems, I'm definitely interested.

Wow I didnt get any of that at all. I can see aiming being short with the hand but bombs and such only had to be close by to kill. As far as climbing, yes maaaaaaybe a little inaccurate, but it was realistic. In that I mean it was slow and steady, not fast and cartoony like Prototype, which I disliked. Far from untolerable.

I say absolutely pick it up.

No it wasn't. Superhuman jumping and clinging to buildings with bare hands is not realistic. The clunkiness didn't come from "slow and steady" it came from the game thinking I was trying to jump to one spot when I was trying to jump to another. The whole "magnetized to the side of stuff" while climbing was poorly executed and never worked smoothly.

haha o yeah I see your point, but thats what I meant by inaccurate. But anyway, thats a simple issue that I think helps you. Im just saying compared to Prototype, InFamaous was way better. You mean to tell me that running up a brick wall directly vertically, breaking bricks while doing so, at 100 mph, jumping to a half mile away is better? Not IMO.

inFamous > Prototype > Crackdown > Crackdown 2

Crackdown for the 360 (both 1 and 2) were s***. The plot was s***, the gameplay was s***, and the visuals were s***. inFamous is definitely awesome.

Crackdown definitely had its issues, but was great fun for screwing around with friends with cheats enabled. The whole "cars drive like numb drunk monkeys until you level your skill up" crap is intolerable, but also not really an issue since you can leap tall buildings in a single bound.

VERY different types of games, though.
