Maybe if you took the time to compose a well written, spell checked post,we would take the time to intelligently answer it?Lankanboy1 wrote:camon guys any one please help me out.
I did take it to the dealer, This is what i get from him " the car suppost to do that, if it moves it means the engin is over heating" so i just want to proof him that its wrong and get it fixed. I only have 30 days warranty so after that he woudnt fix it. i'm so sorry about the 1st post.MR. Q wrote:Take it to the dealer ASAP

Writing and spelling like an un-educated clown gets clown responses.
Thank you, I hope the dealer wont say " That car is from USA, Canadian arnt the same "Q451990 wrote:On a '99 it should point straight up when warmed up properly. Here's a picture off of a cars.com ad.
Maybe the thermostat has been removed? It needs to be checked with Consult (Nissan's diagnostic computer) to get a real temperature reading. The car should have two temperature sensors (at least the 90-96 does) - one to tell the ECU what's going on and one for the instrument cluster. So even if the sensor or cluster is bad, Consult should be able to tell if the temp. is really that low, or if it's something else. Another clue will be the idle speed... if it idles high when you first start it up, and then idles down to about 700RPM after warming up, there's a good chance that the car is warming up, and the problem is with the sensor, it's wiring, or the instrument cluster.
The other option is to get a copy of your FSM (Factory Service Manual) and follow the troubleshooting steps yourself. It should tell you how to test the sensor using a multimeter... There's a copy on NICO here somewhere, but I can never remember the location. Even better... pay $20 to go to http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti for the one day viewing subscription and download the FSM and all of the technical service bulletins (TSBs) which are basically factory authored fixes for issues that are discovered in the field after the car is in service. The owner's mauals are availabe at no charge there as well... so it may be addressed there if you just need proof that it should move into the normal range.
Good luck!

Do you have an Infiniti dealership there? If so your backup plan could be to have them diagnose the issue and then have the car lot you bought it from pay to repair it. Again, I would look at the owner's manual to see if the correct operation is stated there...Lankanboy1 wrote:

It may not be on purpose. Although English is widely spoken in Montreal, writing it is a different thing altogether. My cousin and I had an interesting conversation about the differences in being able to speak the language but having trouble writing it.qship96 wrote:

Looks like a thermostat stuck open or no thermostat ?lasoyafan wrote:When I was driving home from Christmas in the Tennessee mountains, it was 6*F outside and it took the car 2 hours of driving to stay mid-way. Most of the time the needle laid down and took a nap though. It got normal when I got into 20*F air.
