For those of you in warm climates, there is a close out on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics (version 1's date code 2007).

The tire that normally goes for $250 (245/45/18) is on sale for $112.

The tire that normally goes for $300 (245/40/19) is on sale for $144.

I got a set from Discount tires installed for $550. Then they had a special going that gave me a $100 visa. :chuckle: Netting $450 out the door with lifetime balancing and rotation.

I have only got a couple hundred miles on mine so keep that in mind. I will report back after 800 miles.

I had Yokohama Advin S.4's before. The Asymmetric's so far...are waaaay quieter, waaaaay smoother, and handle/stick waaaay better.

I don't expect to get a lot of tread wear (maybe 15-20K if lucky) but so far the performance is insane!

These should be very, very good tires indeed!

Thanks for the heads up. :dblthumb:

Yep, great deal through Discount Tire. I just picked up 4 Kumho Ecsta Platinum LX from them and with the $100 VISA, cost installed was $665. I needed all seasons for my climate

As promised, I am reporting feedback on the F1Asymmetrics after 800 miles because tires can change so much over the first 700 miles.

I am pleased to report these are by far the best summer tires I have ever owned.
I bought them in 255/45/18 to promote a slightly beefier look both from the side and from the rear-and, with my Eibachs, slightly more ground clearance.

Handling is superb. Very quiet so far. Amazing ride quality(the most surprising). Stunning in the rain. Very sticky. Good feedback. Fast and linear steering response.

I recently drove a 2009 BMW 750IL. I was amazed at the ride quality contrasted with the handling for such a large car. I was immediately disappointed when I drove
my car again. I blamed the huge discrepency on my tires ( Yokohama Advin S.4's). With the F1's, I'm at least now in the ballpark of the 750IL. My car is just as smooth
and handles similar to the BMW. I still think the BMW feels a little better in terms of feedback and stability. And of course that is one fast car (0 to 60 in 5.2 sec).
But hey, waaaay more money, right?

There are still a few of these tires around. If you live in warm climates, these are by far the "Best Bang For The Buck".

Get em!!!
