I realize that's asking alot while being vague... I'm trying to find some reasonably light wheels (I don't want anything heavier than the stock S13 SE alloys).

My main goal was just a little more tire width. If I'm not mistaken, the stock S13 SE rims are 5.5 inches wide, I was thinking of going to 7 inches or so. Appearance is secondary

Tirerack suggested Kazera 16" wheels, which are 16-17 lbs, 7" inches wide and only $119. I'm not limiting myself to that price, I would pay more, I just don't want to pay $300-$400 per wheel. Anyone have these wheels or have any other suggestions ?

Thanks.

16-17 pounds is damn lite.. thing about light wheels.. lighter most likly equals weaker.. watch out.. thats when u want to spend on quality rims..

I would recommend 16" Kosei K1's from the tire rack. Note, you have to call in to order them as they need to be re-drilled. Ask Grant, he should know...

Well the 5Zigen FNO1R-C is actually a pretty good buy. It's cast whereas the FNO1R is forged. Plus, to make things better, they just released a 17x8" and 17x9" sized perfectly for S13's or S14's. But they are about $200 per wheel, still not too bad. Look here...

Thanks for the help! However it appears those wheels don't fit the S13 in 17" but do fit it in 18". I really don't think I want to go to 18's but that's just me.

You bring up a good point though in width. I'm beginning to question my original thinking because it seems that 7" wheels will not provide tires much wider than I have now. So I have to wonder, what's the point in 215/45/17's over 195/60/15's ? About half an inch... that's all. Anything wider requires a wider wheel than 7" (according to Yokohama).

There is the reduced sidewall I realize which helps cornering I'm sure and makes her a wee bit "sexier" but I wasn't really after either.http://www.ammerman.org/240sx/wheelsizes.jpg(not a wheel I was considering, just the first wheel I could find on Tirerack that came in 15,16 and 17 and I don't have a hatch but...)

Wow, this is something to seriously consider... I'll look around to see if 8" wide wheels will fit in the front of an S13.

Hmmm... Black, Silver or Bronze for a white coupe...

Why would you want 8 in. rims on the front. They are heavy and tires are probably more expensive. The only reason I can see is if you are going to use 8's on the rear and want to be able to rotate your tires.

The idea from the beginning was to get wider tires, which it appears I need wider wheels for. I personally don't like to stagger tires, so... that leaves me with 8" front wheels.
