Hey everyone,

Sorry for this to take so long, but I've been busy since the meet ended on Sunday. Work and similar details.

The meet was not nearly as large as the previous BG meet, however we did have attendance from some pretty dedicated NICO members, which is awesome. :ylsuper Here is the list of attendees, at least on Saturday:

repo man :icesangel /'89 240 hatchgibbo80/'89 240 coupealtiman94/'94 Alty (car not present)colies97~240sx/trick-daddy '97 240 lookin' goooooood!c's240/KA24DET s14 (car also not present)kabanfibah/'97 240Former_240_S14/'96 240 wearing really cool rear wheels...spank, uh, spec-u-later/'02 red SpecV redrocket/'96(?) red s14 with Mustang wheels (very cool btw)cnichols/TWO s14's which were not present, one turbo'd...95silviase/'95 240 in process of a 5spd conversiongsr778/wicked '95 Integra GSRSimmsled/'93 Alty Cold_Zero/'03 WRX574-240sxDriftmaster Bill (he now has a s/n, but I can't think of it right now)and Pat & Stephanie, 574's guests.

There were a few NICO members who showed up at the auto-x on Sunday. The only one who's s/n I can think of is RED_DET, who piloted a '92 SR-powered SE-R to a 59 second run, topping the NI (NICO) run group, with Spec-U-Later a very close second.

Well, my dog is getting sick right now, so I'll have to post up the times later. But stay tuned, more info and some killer pics and video are coming your way!

Andy

Heres a link to some of the pics I took. Also when you scroll through, there are 3 pics of the overall times. I believe only one picure is clear enough to read. Nick

You forgot to mention me. :)

Anyway i had lots of fun even though i never went to the autocross. Though i did have some fun talking to the guys and racing the go-karts around the track, that was fun. I met some cool people and saw some nice cars. I think a few of the guys took some pics, if you get any post them up. Also if we have another meet here in Indy im in. If no one can remember that was there. I was the guy with the black s14.

Chris, yes the yellow Evo ran. It did alright I guess for that large of a car. I think there were 2 different drivers for it, and one of them SUCKED. It did alright though.

Ok, some admin needs to change my s/n to "The Village Idiot". I went by the sign-in sheet that was passed around Saturday night at the restaurant. Therefore, I omitted you, YanT3I, palmerwmd, Speeddoctor, IWannaS15 and a couple of others. Blame my feeble mind, not my heart! :pface

I went and picked up the Speeddoctor himself Saturday night after dinner at the airport. I felt like I was picking up the Godfather. LOL. Imagine driving a bone stock s13 and having a GT-R owner riding with you. That was me Saturday night. Not entirely embarrassing, but close.

hey repo, I'm really glad that you remembered that I was there even tho I wasn't able to bring my car with me. It was fun meeting you, oh and rocket, I really like those wheels, I didn't notice they were off a mustang gt till I saw a gt pull up next to me and imagine them w/o the center caps and realize that's what your rims were. If you gunmetaled them that would be one awesome custom creation. I'm glad I was able to make it up and I hope I'll be able to hang out with all of you native indy guys at the next meet, and hopefully Gibbo will let me take my alty instead:help

Alti:

Actually I also agree that Mustang wheels are a <real> good fit with an S14 if tou take out the center caps.

A nice larger wheel and still staying with (someone's) OEM for the higher quality wheel (vs aftermarket in that size and class)

Haha. I'm surprised they let our open diff car run. Haha. Also Rubin might want to check his rear brake pads after that night of attemped drifting. I have to give him credit, he was getting much better at the end. I know drifting is hard to learn at first. I had many times spun out in the different lane of traffic with people looking at me like i can't drive. Although you go sideways faster with a welded up rear end. Nick

Definitely fun! Even more fun having a super-sweet s13 to take to the meet. ;)

Here is a breakdown of the times by actual name, not s/n, and best single, raw time:

1. Mike Henderson: 58.1202. Josh Gallim: 58.6153. Nick Kreekich: 62.7194. Rubin Dastoor: 64.8125. John Donath: 66.2056. Robbie Gilmore: 66.3677. Andy Simmons: 67.7968. Chuck Young: 81.025

These were the only cars in the "NI" group (NICO), which was set up for NICO specifically. That was VERY cool on the part of the SCCA (Indy and Columbus Chapters). The SCCA is very professional and an outstanding organization.

For comparison, the quickest time of the day by anyone was 53.461. Smokin'!! That was in the C Modified class, but I don't know what kind of car it was. Obviously highly modded.

I also need the following people to email me their addresses so that they may receive their NICO awards and SCCA "trophies":

Driftmaster BillNicole (colies97~240sx)Nick (574-240sx)Mike Henderson (RED_DET)Rubin (Former_240_S14)

These are not the only people getting stuff, but I have the other addresses already. If you guys could do that, that would be fabulous. :help

I think Andy added the penalty times into the posted times. Thats just what I'm guessing. 1 second per cone...

i believe its suppose to be 2 seconds added for every cone hit. I didn't do bad for a completely stock car. Oh and my email is [email protected]. That and all that autocrossing I just broke my transmission tonight turning a corner. I guess i broke a gear off. It suck breaking you car. That will make pulling my transmission off for the forth time in the last 2 months. Nick
