Indy 500

Anyone watching the Indy 500?

I must admit to having a little ill will towards the IRL, now that Infiniti is no longer a player.

Aren't they the ones that established the Jr league with the Infiniti Pro series?

Arg, grumble, lets start a grass roots effort to get the M45 into NASCAR. Toyota's going to be in the NASCAR Truck series next year and plans are to run a car by 2005 or 06.

I can't watch the Indy 500 since I live in Indy. They normally have a media blackout during such events. I will have to watch it later tonight. I dont think IRL ran off Infiniti. I was under the impression that they were not making any more new engines, they would support the engines they currently have and stick to the Infiniti Pro series.

I'm flipping between the Indy 500 and motogp on speed channel. the bikes have my attention right now as they are racing in the friggin rain!! amazing brave men.

They way I understood it was the IRL and good ole Tony Boy, changed/modified the engine rules to get the other manufacturers in and that kind of pushed Infiniti out, but I could be wrong.

Oh, of course I am watching. I'm waiting for the Colonial to come one and then the REAL race of the day the Coca-Cola 600. NASCAR under the lights, doesn't get much better.
