Well, i got some indiglo gauge overlays off ebay and had them "professionally installed" but after about 3 months they stopped working. Well so far i have just lived with them not working, but it is getting very annoying to drive at night without being able to see my gauges. I decided to go look how the guy wired them today and I found the black wire was grounded and the red wire was placed under a fuse. I looked at the little fuse box chart and i think it was hooked up to my brake light fuse or something like that. I'm wondering if I take apart my dash and hook up the power to the dimmer switch my gauges have a chance of working or if the inverter might be fried. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I don't know why you have someone do it for you? it is fairly easy to wire them up.. but anyway, yea, just hook them up to your dimmer switch. I've had mine hooked up there for over a year and I have had no problems at all...

well i had them installed because i couldnt get the damn gauge cluster out, and after working for about 2 hours without making any progress i just decided it wasnt worth the hassle. i got to the point where there were a bunch of plastic clips holding it in but after breaking one of the clips i didnt want to try anymore. it was like $50 to install so it wasnt that bad except for the fact that they stopped working, i guess i will try to fix things tommorow.

gauge cluster removal = fairly simple. just a bunch of screws and some muscle to pull things off.

i have Indiglo in my 90 240sx, do it myself, not easy, but not to hard, , well i mean is not too hard.

I take the "Juice" (Volts) from the dim, but not in the switch.i trace ,from the lights the cluster have , the cable that comes in the connector and connect the red wire.

i can control the indiglo with the dimmer, but i can´t go all the way up in the dimmer because the indiglo turn "off".

good thing, i can play with the view of the needles and the gauges. i can turn off the needles...

well it work for me!!!:pface
