that long "pin" for the trip meter can be pulled out. I have done about 3 different cars and in those car I was able to pull them out. I have not done the install in a 240sx but it should be the same.

Once you have the pin out just slip the gauge cover under the needle and everything should fit.

I HAVE INDIGLO GAUGES MYSELF, IF YOU ARE GOING TO WIRE THE GUAGES UP, DO IT RIGHT NOT RICE. GET A CHILTON OR FSM AND CUT A SECTION OFF OF THE PLASTIC WRAP UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN WHICH CARRIES THE HARNESS FOR THE IGNITION AND LIGHTS. FIND THE WIRING DIAGRAM AND LOCATE THE POWER (HOT) WIRE FOR THE PARKING AND HEADIGHTS SPLICE THE POWER (HOT) WIRE TO THE INDIGLOW GUAGES INTO THAT THEN RUN A THE GROUND FROM THE INDIGLO GUAGES TO THE CHASSIS BEHIND THE KICKPANEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, WHERE THE FUSE BLOCK IS, THEN YOU ARE DONE. ANY QUESTIONS LET ME KNOW.

It will take some patience on your part but you don't need to remove them, to get the guages on, just rotate the needles and slide them thru the holes and over the pins it will take some time but it can be done, it's like one of those brain teaser games
