Hey just wanted to see what all the indianapolis members were, I have been living in Indy for about three months now, and I have going Lincoln Tech.

Just wanted to see if anyone was out there and would be willing to help me work on my car because i lack a place to do it. I cant do it at Lincoln tech until i am in a related class...and that might be a while. I would also enjoy some Nico company.

well the car doesnt want to idle right, So i need to switch out intake manifolds...Its either a TPS or Air Idle...so by swithing the entire intake manifold it changes them both out.

I more or less need a place to work on it of a night, cause all I do is school then right to work. If some one could put up with me and my car for a hour or two after I get out of work....That would be super cool. I am not real sure how far she will make it so i dont really wanna drive it far. Right now the car is at Lincoln Tech.

Thanks for the welcome I got the car running again, but I took the insurance off and am letting set at my g-pa's house. Snow + Bad tires + RWD = me all over the road. Anysways its a vert and mine doesnt seem to keep any heat in. The 87 hardbody is great in the snow for being only 2 wheel drive.

But We need to have an Indy meet soon, I cant wait for Winged warrior!

I'm down for an Indy meet. Is anyone going to Indy Truck Bash this year? A bunch of the local guys go every year. I'm probably going to be going to Goodguys or NHRA Nats. I would be down for any 'Nico' meets though! I was up in Indy a few months ago and talked to a guy who is in a Z club there, he said that they have a monthly meeting @ the new Tom Wood near Carmel.

Oh yeah, I'm from Terre Haute.

PS. anybody go to Putnam Park road circuit? Oh yeah, WWIII sounds sweet!

I go to the truck bash every year with my friends. This year there should be a few more people coming down with me. I went to the Nationals this past year for the first time and it was a blast.

Yep, I've run at Putnam a few times. I like it a lot. I'll probably start running out there with the BMW CCA once I get my car to where I want it. I registered for WWIII. We'll see if I get picked.

I think we should get a small meet going maybe in April so we can all get acquainted before summer gets here. Thoughts?

Side Note:Do you know any of the guys from Vanquish Motorsports?

I am wanting / hoping that my car will be ready for Putnam Park so I can roll with a buddy (who is in BMWCCA) there.

No, I'm not familiar AFAIK with anyone from Vanquish. Cool name though.

Maybe we get something together for April 14 or 15?

I believe what you meant to say was "If it involves fine German bier I'm down." Which means that I also, am down!

Edit: or Guinness!

Hello fellas!!! This is Kevin at Vanquish Motorsports! I had seen that someone asked about us so I figured I'd chime in....

The main reason I wanted to chime in was to find out how many local to indy people in NICO might be interested in participating in a dyno day here in indy! If you are interested please give me call at 317-538-9542 soon so we can get a tally and see if we can make this happen! It will consist of 3 pulls per car with no tune time unless time allows. Thanks!

Oh hell, maybe we do. Have you ever shot any competitions at Atlanta Conservation Club? Where is your shop?

Welcome to NICO! I'm glad you found us.

I'll give you guys a little background...

We started out about 5 years ago. Only as a sparse work side job and mainly Nissans and Honda and strictly word of mouth. Since we had cars we modded ourselves and spent a lot of time out and about people began to recognize us. We both worked at a dealership. I was in parts and my counterpart is an ASE certified master tech we figured we made a good team. So was born Sinister Racing. After only about 6 months we decided the name just didn't fit us. So that's when Vanquish Motorsports came about. All the time this hobby type commitment developed into having people from all over the state coming to us to have mainly Nissan work done. After seeing what we had done to George's car, my partner, his 240 of coarse, I sold my Honda and bought a 240 with a blown motor for $200. Ah, those were the days... We realized that after we reached 468whp with Georges car there was quite a following that wanted the same thing. So we delivered. We decided to move towards becoming the goto place for Nissan performance in Indiana.

After finally making the business official with the government in August of last year Vanquish MotorSports LLC has grown tremendously and is no longer just a Nissan source.

We've since signed on Ben Langhammer as one of our partners. This man can do some crazy custom lighting, carbon fiber, and fabrication. He is a great asset to the future of VMS. He is also building our ever growing website. http://WWW.VanquishMotorSports.net

One day we hope to grow VMS to the point that it will be our full time career. We have seen the demise of shops around indy that quite simply failed due to poor customer service, and I know that every single one of you deal with this issue virtually everytime you buy a part for your car. This is the foundation of our business...GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERYTIME. This is our number one priority.

Over this year we will be organizing a few dyno days and meets as well as becoming sponsors of many already established events including ITB, and Winged Warrior III.

So far here are our stats...personally

Georges 1989 240sx hatch SR20DET 526whp 11.59@128and mineKevin 1992 240sx coupe w/Silvia front SR20DET 338whp 11.87@114

George has sold the S13 and is currently building an S14 with even better things to come.

I had a ring issue last year holding me back from turning the boost up so mine is in the middle of a complete rebuild. My personal goal is the hit 10's without breaking 10,000 total investment. It will be close but it might just happen.

Wow....that was all one breath!

I gotta rest my fingers!

Ok, I gotcha. I have seen you run at WWII last year as well as IRP. I've met George before just briefly but have not had the chance to meet you yet. Your car is a dark green or black coupe, right? IIRC, when I saw you run at IRP you ran a 12.2 on that particular pass.

Have you guys got a shop set up yet? I know I'm going to be needing a good tune once I get my car in running shape and would rather not have to drive to AMS or Zerolift. Obviously you guys know what you're doing.

We do not have a shop set up yet. We are taking things nice and slow to avoid becoming like most shops.....out before they are in!

We do specialize in Nissans however we can supply virtually every brand of product for almost every car. Mainly performance based though. Tuned and electrical is Georges expertise and thats why he is part of the team. Ben and I run the retail side and George is in charge of most all labor including tuning.

As a matter of fact we are organizing a dyno day for late april. Not sure if we have any spots left open but if we do I'll post it here on NICO.

Feel free to give us a call. 317-538-9542
