i have a couple of buddies who would be down for that. One of them is good to go but, the other needs to finish his car. I will hit up this thread once their cars are ready. I live just out side greenwood on the other side of county line. I have probably seen you on 31.

hey nelson, i've seen you around town.I'm looking into trading my car for the 240 andy mott built with the rb20 in it.hopefully when we get to do this (sometime in early august just so people know) we can have nismo galore, i'm pretty sick of peopl around here rolling with the "tru crew" or their busted *** wannabe cars . these pics will be good to do two things, get a decent portfolio for me (and i'll post the pics so people can steal them as they please ) and to show the little rice boys and future tuners what this culture really is. I've got some good ideas and any more ideas are welcome along the way

do you have a particular place you would want to meet some where close to greenwood for the shoot, like a park or something?

i haven't really found a great place yet, but i'll go looking later this week when i get a day off. i just got some money to fill up the gas tank for the ol' cobra so i'll have plenty of opportunities to check places out a little later. update soon on this.lmk if you know/find anywhere that would be good. there was a meet a while back and they took pics on top of a parking garage i believe. something like that wuld be good.

yeah, i went to that meet but, it didnt turn out all that great. Something like on top a parking garage would be cool. Yeah, just keep your eyes open for a good spot. We got my buddies 240 running so he's game for the shoot. I still need to talk to the other one. I am hoping to have mine running by 4th of july weekend. I need to finish my dump tube and get a base map on it for the new injectors i put in. It use to have wheels and a clean body kit on it but, i put it back to stock. Nothing but, a big FMIC sticking out. I am guessing the weekend after the 4th of july weekend would be good for me and my buddies. Would that work for you?

What is so wrong with the TRU guys? I don't know what TRU crew you are refering to but last I checked the TRU guys had some pretty nice cars. You see there is a difference between some moron with a 1999 rusty plymouth neon, with a 10foot wing and a fart can that sounds like a pissed off weed eater driving around with his 75hp motor with a TRU sticker on his windshield that he paid $20 for. and the REAL TRU guys that actualy put time and effort into their cars with real parts. So just don't bust up on them guys in a forum. I don't know what your beef is with these guys but I know a few of em and they are pretty good guys.

Dude, I've talked to all of them and there is only one who knows what he's talking about. I used to hang out downtown and at burlington when it was in comission, so I've met them. I agree there is a difference in what you're saying, but beyond the 2 or 3 nice cars out of the 30 that roll with them, they're a big group of ricers and posers. Not many put the time or money into their cars that they should. If you go to TRU looking for forged rods, they'll try to sell you and racing seats from ebay. How much respect can people expect when you've got a rusted @$$ crew???Not to mention the amount of street racing they all do putting the public in danger. TRU Motorsports' "Crew" is a joke wrapped in carbon fiber and window stickers, not a bunch of tuners just hanging out.

Anyway, I still want this to go down. More as a meet just to get a bunch of people from around the area introduced and stuff. Anyone have a problem with meeting at the BWs off US-31 and stop 11?

Well that's cool. I don't know about the business part of TRU. I just know that the 3 or 4 guys I hang out with from time to time have nice cars and are pretty much good guys. The whole street racing thing I haven't seen. And to be honest if I did see I wouldn't be apart of nor would I put up with. I agree that street racing puts eveyone at risk on the road and these kids doing it are not professional drivers. Hell, most of these kids haven't been driving for what? A year or two. Anyway.......are you guys having a mini-meet or something? A bunch of us Spec-V guys were supposed to go to Illinios this Sat. for a meet but the planning fell through. Some of us are meeting this Sat. at Hooters there on 31 at or around 7pm. This is not "crew" oriented. This started as a meet in Illinios so there is no "crew" involved. Just anyone wanting to go. So if anybody wants to come hang with us please do so!

yeah man, it's cool. i gotcha and i hope it's all good now i know a couple of the guys are okay, but by large they're a big group o wannabes. anywho, your idea sounds pretty cool and i think we should just hold it there.get some wings, shoot the ****, see some boobs...what's not to love.i'll (most likely) still have my cobra by then but it'll still be pretty cool.

Now that we've got all this thread failage out of the way we have a date, place, and time. So ANYONE in the tuner world in this area is welcome. Even if you don't have a "sweet ride" you can show up and have a nice big family to talk to

The more, the merrier!

Just remember to be safe and I'll keep coming back to this for more updates!
