We should all try and get together at some point in Indy on a Friday or Saturday night. When would be a good time for everyone to get together...Late august the Silvia will be in Chicago at Hot Import Nights

Everyone chime and we should figure something out. I dont see that many 240sx around Indy. I know you are out there......

Slow-v posted about us (sentra guys) getting togather last sat at Hooters but I would like to do an all Nissan meet sometime. We could do a night thing or even maybe a meet at one of Indy's racing facilatys like ORP or Putnam park Road corse http://www.putnampark.com/. Afriend and I are talking about a possable Brown County trip/BBQ in the fall. These are from last sat night.

OK, official details, lol.

There is a UFC fight this saturday at 9pm. Lets meet at hooters at 8. Hopefully we can get a spot to chill and watch the fight. Afterwords we can chill, or cruise. Or, if we can't get a spot, we can just hang for a while, or go on a cruise

Be there or be square. Everyone is welcome!

Updated my previous post ....I guess you can subtract one 240 from that list.

Well that was a typical indy nico meet. Just a few of us. Just a few showed up and we ended up going to a part that had more nissans there than at the meet.....lol

NICO fails agian.

p.s.

Atleast i didnt have to drive to the north side this time for a slice of fail.

That sux

Why don't you guys join us in Nashville next weekend for the NICOfest event? Should be a good turn out. We also need to get someone to start planning a big fall meet in Indy this year since the NOPI Nats have been canceled.

Maybe we just need to have a little more heads up and a little more than just the NICO guy's. Like a "Nissan" meet maybe. I'm sure I'm not the only member that is on other forums than NICO. We should just figure out when where and than start letting people know. A friend of mine and I are planning on a Brown county Road trip/BBQ this fall if anyone is interested I guess this can be a early feeler. It will not be Nissan only and the wife/girlfriend/"boyfriend" whatever you have is welcome.

I have no problem with setting up a generic nissan meet as that has historically been the way it goes down. For L'ville meets we post on the 502 forum, cincy forum, etc. For NICOfest meets, we usually post them on all the vehicle forums. NICOfest events are for Nissan enthusiasts that we just happen to be sponsoring and are not limited to NICO members only. We usually have a good turnout of non-NICO members and that is absolutely what we are going for.

One thing about NICOfest events is you are ensured to have board members and staffers show up instead of gamb|ing on a large turnout and only having 10 people show up. For our area, a nice meet at one of the parks in Brown County would be awesome and can pull in people from Indy, L'ville, Cincy and other areas. Timing, notifications and organization of the event is key to having a good turnout, something I don't have time for.

I dont think notice was the problem here...we starte talking about a meet on 7/8...the meet was on 7/19...you really shouldn't need 3 weeks notice for a couple hours of your time. The problem is Indy's scene. It sucks. There are SOOOOOO many ppl that are around here w/ nissans and infinitis and everything else...and they dont do anything. I posted this meet up on here, 240forums, and Indycarz....as well as passed along a big word of mouth to alot of people. After the meet, at a friends house, everyone knew of the meet and asked how it was, but decided against coming out. No one stated this meet was only a NICO meet, it is/was a general car meet, but only 6 cars showed up...and we flagged 3 down off the road. You guys can start planning now for a meet in September or whatever, but until the scene changes, all you will see are the same few ppl that WANT to come out to meets, not the ppl w/ nice cars that are to lazy too.

Sorry if I was miss understood about the meet. I was not trying to point fingers or anything. I am new to the whole Indy scene thing, NICO, and am learning quick;-) We had 4 or 5 more Sentra's due to come to our little meet that live in the area and they didn't show up. I know not everyone has the time or even the love for their cars as much as others but you are right about how much time does it really take to make plans for a two hour hang and chat. I live an hour from Indy and am glad to try and make it when ever I have notice. My big obstacle is the lil miss as well as I am sure others have the same issue. So sorry

i'm not calling you out at all bro...i'm just saying that the nissan love in indy is not there...hell, the car love in general is pretty weak compared to some other cities. The only way to get everyone to get back in the game is for everyone to start coming out and bring new ppl out. We need to start to enjoy ourselves and not sit on our asses and watch time blow away. Laziness is key....the women a close second. Just be like me and tell her to come along...she will deny, then you are golden by yourself

Yep. We had a strong scene in Louisville about 4-5 years ago and once the people who were constantly getting the meets together got busy and/or left the area, nobody stepped up to the plate (myself included) to keep things active. Now it's dead as well.
