indestructable transmission

hey everyone,

does anyone know of someone that can build an indestructable transmission? almost like a dogbox, but can be used for the street/daily driving. i have a spare transmission and i dont want to rebuild it and have the 3rd synchro go out again. i want something reliable and comfortable enough for the street/autocross. if anyone can give suggestions that would help alot. thanx

the s14 has a great transmission. It will keep up with pretty much as much power as you can get out of a KA or SR.

Replace it with the same or rebuild it. It would be silly to look to spending money on building it up unless your putting out absoultly insane amounts of power. Even then keeping a good day to day driveability may be sacrifices with straight cut gears or something.

If you keep having problems after you rebuild it, revisit your driving techniques.

hmmm, then go buy someone else's transmission that is less problematic.

or find a shop that will warranty their work.

what makes you so sure the third syncro would go out again? my original transmission (95 SE) has 203,000 miles on it and its just starting to show signs of crapping out.

Level 10, or just have the entire thing, including all the gearsets cryro'ed
