incredibly bad starting

I dont know whats wrong, but when i got my car back from a shop, it had horrible starting problems.. i can get it on, but it will just shut off if i dont stop gasing it 4ever! i had seriously wait like 20 mins for it 2 stay steady.I think its a timming problem or sumthing, maybe air leak, any1 have any idea? any know a good shop in southern cali? besides mckinney.. its just 2 far of a drive for me... ive been tryin 2 find a trust worthy shop but its been pretty hard.

First its not that much harder to type "to" than 2.

Second, check for intake leaks, or a bad MAF.

jon is right, check all your air hoses and Intercooler piping. You would be amazed at what a crack in one your intake hose between the maf and turbo can do.

Since the swap is done, any decent mechanic should be able to diagnose it if you aren't comfortable doing it. They just may not be able to replace anything :)

Although the motor made a journey accross the ocean, it is still an internal combustion, piston engine so they should be able to figure it out. Try finding a good RX-7 mechanic sometime.

Definatly sounds like a lean condition. How long ago was the swap performed?
