Hi everybody, I am a new and proud owner of a 2008 G-37S and have been thinking about seriously improving the performance of the car without voiding the warranty. I would like to increase WHP and TQ, what do you guys recommend?

Intake and exhaust to start.

Keep in mind, no mod will void your warranty unless THAT particular mod caused the problem.

So for example...if your defroster breaks... the can't say it was caused by your aftermarket exhaust.

However if your transmission fails due to stess from a modified engine? Or your engine fails due to racing of any sort which could be interesting if one publically documented what they were doing just before the engine blew up. Or proper maintenance (engine oil level, proper fluids, etc.)

Guys, thanks for the info. I am pretty much new in the business of tuning cars, so what type and brand of intake and exhaust? Also, how about reflashing the ECU and adding headers?

I read a small article about the Cobb system to reflash the ECU and sound interesting.

From an intake perspective the dyno results (if believable) of the Stillen intake is pretty promising. Not sure if there are aftermarket headers or if they will be effective as Nissan spent some time designing the current ones as it is.

In the case of many mods I would tend to consider those that are reversable. Some dealers I believe will install these mods and will then will honor essentially warranty repairs. I would at least consider this when modding a car under warranty.

From what I have seen as far as intakes I would go with Stillen.

I'd say take a look at the Fast Intentions exhaust. Good sound and documented good power. Stillen Gen 3 long intakes are supposed to be the best out. Although it wouldn't be "legal" you could do some test pipes or HFCs.
