I'm curious what everyone thinks about increasing the tire pressure beyond the recommended 33 psi on the Rogue to get better fuel efficiency, and exactly how significant the benefit would to slightly increasing it to say around 36 psi? Firmer tires reduce friction and increase efficiency, but it is difficult to quantify how much of an impact an additional 3 to 5 psi would have. Also, there is a safety risk to increasing the pressure too much, and ride quality is affected as well.

If any of you are "hyper-milers" out there, or just want to be as "green" and fuel efficient as possible, you know where I'm coming from!!

i keep mine at least 36 cold reading in the morning.

more air:bumpier ridelesser braking distancemore fuel efficient

less air = opposite of above

the key is to experiment. i find 36-37 psi cold to be ideal.

Dealer had tires at 44PSI when I took delivery(morons didn't know enough to read sticker ). I didn't notice right away. MPG 26.5-27.5ish mixed driving. Lowered to 34psi MPG 27.5-28.5.
