Incorrect info on speed tv's gears?

Just watched an episode of gears where they installed a procharger system on a new srt charger. When it came time to describe the BOV and what it does he had the idea right but he mounted it between the air filter and charger.... The valve would never see boost there and couldn't release it either... So basically he praised the use of a BOV then mounted it incorrectly...

Anybody else see that episode and notice where he mounted it? am I blind?

I'd be willing to bet money he didn't install it wrong. If he did, f*** there goes one of my idols.

see idk. he held up the intake pipe. It went like this.. air filter to sensor to bov to charger. like it was an assembled short ram intake that he held up for the camera

i just watched it on youtube... he describes the function properly and from the way i saw and heard the "pop-off valve, or blow-off valve, or anti-surge valve" as he says connects to the air box between the procharger itself and the intercooler, so he says that hes putting in the proper place....linky....

i think the reason it looked like that is for closed and part throttle operation the motor wouldnt suck in any unfiltered air and to place the BOV in a location with a little more room

weird, your right that he described its placement correctly but it still looks wrong.

i think he just has that BOV as a prop to show what it looks like because at 4:00 he states " in this application it connects right here to this air box that receives the boost from the super charger" and it is between the charger and intercooler in the right place.
