My Versa trips the light at 34 psi.........
You want the tire overinflated OVER the light trip number instead of at it or you will get lights every time the tires cool down. I go to 40 for some leeway but I buy cheaper tires and have to be careful as I have popped a bulge on new tire more than once by going to 42, a better grade tire won't do that. You have to be aware of what brand you are running.
The sensors can easily vary by 2 psi to each other too.
I for one won't even trust techs with tires, I have run into problems blindly accepting what they say. I won't let them put the wheels on the cars and bring in tires off the car to minimize them screwing with things. I've even had to ruin the valve stems when I take tire in, they claim they changed it even when I mark them to know if they did or not. The last time I almost got into a fight so now I destroy stem by removing the valve and bending the stem outlet so a new valve stem cannot be inserted, it forces them to be honest. I also had them routinely putting the tires out with 55-60 psi in them, they weren't leaking them back down after popping the tire onto the wheel. I remove all balance weight too, to keep them from leaving them on, they won't remove them and they do not index the new tires on wheel by the weight dot either. Tire art, as limited as it would seem is dead, it is just too much to expect the modern worker to care enough to do even the most simple task right.
