So yup. 2014 Grand Touring. Has all the things. It's awesome. Obviously 6spd. Same woman that got us the good rate on the 2 when we had no credit got us a great rate on this one. 8% lower than the lenders first offer. We're baking her cookies. :yesnod We went in to drive the Speed3 they had. Pam and I hated it. It's fast as heck, but too much power for a FWD. She was also getting bored of the Mazda2. It didn't have enough power. So **** it Miata.

Alright, it's official. We need a Miata section. Everyone keeps buying Miata's.

Congrats! I haven't driven an NC Miata yet, but i've always liked the looks of them. Enjoy!

It is a fun car. Sticks to the road like glue. The engine loves to rev. Good mileage. Not bad to look at either. It drives better than the NB imo, I drove a new one a few years back. But it's really not that different handling wise. It's the 2.0 engine and the 6 spd bolted to it that make the real difference.

They're nice. It'll feel peppier than an NA, feel bigger with a softer ride, which I think is better, but that's me. NA owners will probably think the NC will need suspension upgrades but I felt stock vs stock, the NC is a better handler and more liveable as a DD than an NA. And of course like any Japanese sports car, most folks will say it needs 50 more hp. But bottom line and most important, it still produces the same big grin when you drive it as the NA.

It produced this conversation.

"Honey you drove it the whole test drive, can I drive it home?"
"I want to say no..."

But she let me :) lol

Because I had to.

Thanks, I totally forgot!

So... I just spent the morning watching Top Gear episodes 4-9, 7-6, and the Middle East special... no reason...

NICE!
I'll have to get up to Memphis once all my affairs are back in order and Krash isn't in school.

I feel like there should be beer and a grill involved in this somehow.

The refreshed NCs are SO sharp and the little improvements to the suspension and interior make a noticeable difference. Huge improvement from 2006.

Bonus: The wife looks very pleased!
