Im looking in to buying a suv and the Murano is on the top of my list. Im looking at 07-09 models and I have a couple questions.

-How does the cvt transmissions hold up
-Any models to stay away from
-What are the most common problems
-Is there a way to intergrate a ipod?

Thanks in advance. Im looking forward to spending alot of time here

Just so you know, there wasn't a 2008 model. 2007 was the last model year of the first generation Murano. Nissan did an interior refresh for the first gen for the 2006 & 2007. 2009 was the first year for the redesigned 2nd generation. It's the one that I have. This redesign brought a 2nd gen transmission and a restyled interior and exterior. The 2nd gen actually has a smaller truck area, but everything else was a great update. I love mine and don't have any major complaints. If you're looking at 09 models, look for the SL or LE line, as those will come with more bells and whistles. Some or all of the SEs have iPod integration. The Murano has been a great SUV and i highly recommend them.

I own a 2007 model that's been trouble free. CVTs are warrantied for 10 years/120k miles by Nissan, so you can have some confidence there. You're wise to look for a 2007+ model, as improvements were made to the CVTs for longevity.

- CVT is awesome, and reliability is seriously not a concern at all, and the warranty is amazing!
- All models are great, the '09 is redesigned.
- I don't think there is anything you should be concerned about as far as known issues. Nothing steps out as being a troublesome spot.
- Yes, there is an available iPod Interface kit if your Murano does not have it on it already. Check with the folks at www.courtestyparts.com they can let you know exactly what you need. :bigthumb:
