I had a serious problem and fixed it after it was broke down for 2 years I had the factory motor rebuilt and some minor problems after that. But I got it running and it is awesome. Now that I have real transportation again I'm wanting to put something in it that when you open the hood you hear the angels sing as if you found the holy grail. Which is better the rb26dett or the 2jz-gte? I just want to shut my buddy up about his stupid *** crx. So I can keep reminding him how he got smoked and poke at him with a stick HAHAHA

well either way i hope you have around 8k to do the swap right. the rb swap has a lot more parts out there for it and the swap was engineered way before the 2jz swap was. if it was my own personal preference i would go for the rb swap just because well its a skyline engine and you dont see many of those around here so it is a lot rarer that just another 2jz out of a supra or sc300. either way the motorset or clip will cost you around 3-6k depending on condition and place of purchase. then alot another 1k or so for labor unless you can do it yourself and then another couple thousand for mounts, driveshafts, ect needed for fitment. cheapest way to go though would be just strip down your 240 to bare essentials and then go with a nice turbo ka setup...talk to vividracing and ams for some pointers.

the crx is super light so it will be a very expensive build, if you dont spend some money he will laugh at you after you blow your engine after the 2nd or so race

I have been researching the 2jz swap for along time now. After it is all said and done it makes about 300whp or so.Aftermarket support is much high for the 2JZ then the JDM exclusive RB series motor. In part your looking at about $5,800 - $8000 for the regular swap that goes well the first time. 2jzswap.com sells EVERYTHING you need including wiring and even a DVD that shows you how to do it yourself. Its a easy choice for me. Just throwing out my two cents. Good luck chooseing
