I am going to be purchasing a bluebird motor for my 1997 Nissan 200SX SE-R. Its a basic swap, just taking out the sr20 DE and then dropping in the bluebird motor... I just need some information about any quirks, or modifications I need to make to hook it up right. If anyone can post a link to a site that has detailed instructions on installing the bluebird motor, or if anyone has done this same swap that could fill me in on what to do that would be great. thanks for your time :D

It's pretty much plug and play since you have an SE-R. The stock wiring harness will even work.

Two issues I've seen people mention are:

1. Driver's side axle - the BB engine doesn't have the same spots to hook in the axle hanger. You have to unbolt the intake manifold;s lower support and use two of those holes to put the axle hanger on.

2. EGR - a 68ohm resistor will fool the stock ECU into thinking everything is kosher. If you're using the BB or a modified US ECU, no worries here.

One of the other mods has a BB block in a hybrid turbo setup, he'll probably stop by with more info.
